Todos tenemos algún amigo o amiga que está casi obsesionado con subir sus fotos y armar álbumes dentro de su Facebook. Digo "amigo/a" como para desligarnos de esta adicción, claro, que multiplica por millones nuestra presencia en la red. Pero si quieres tener las fotos tuyas o de amigos en tu ordenador, las tendrías que descargar individualmente, a menos que utilices una herramienta como FacePAD. Una extensión para Firefox que permite descargar álbumes de fotos de Facebook con un solo clic.
- Hace no mucho tiempo los usuarios de Facebook se encontraban en su pantalla de Configuración de Cuenta con la sorpresa de un botón para descargar toda la información que lo incluyera. La parte más importante y amada de esa nueva opción fue la de tener de nuevo en el ordenador todas las fotos que se habían subido a Facebook sin la necesidad de descargarla una por una. Claro que esta opción estaba inspirada en las ansias de demostrar que tu información personal estaba a salvo y por ello sólo se limitaba a las imágenes de tú perfil. Pero como la intención era -y es- hacerse también con las fotos de los demás, todavía hay que hacerlo manualmente. En esta ardua tarea, los álbumes de fotos de los amigos y de las páginas de fans son lo más codiciado y ahora una extensión para Firefox parece tener la solución para descargar álbumes de fotos de Facebook automáticamente.

FacePAD, también conocido como Facebook Photo Album Downloader es una extensión para Firefox -y con futuro en Chrome- que te da la anhelada posibilidad de descargar los álbumes de fotos enteros de Facebook con sólo desearlo. El modo de instalación y uso es tan sencillo como práctico, ya que no demanda más que la instalación de la extensión en tu navegador Firefox, el eventual reinicio del mismo y FacePAD ya se mostrará en el menú contextual del navegador listo para usarse. El próximo paso es ingresar a Facebook, dirigirte al perfil de algún amigo e ir a por sus fotos. Cuando encuentres un álbum que te guste, pinchas sobre el título del mismo y escoges Download Album with FacePad. Le das una ubicación, un nombre y en unos minutos tendrás todas las fotos. El proceso lo puedes repetir las veces que quieras y no hay límite alguno sobre el tipo de formato.Los tipos de álbumes de fotos de Facebook disponible para las descarga con Facebook Photo Album Downloader están compuestos obviamente por los tuyos, los álbumes de amigos, los grupales, de eventos y hasta aquellos que están en las páginas de fans o compañías. Para estos últimos tres tipos, sólo se encuentra la limitación de poder descargar hasta 200 fotografías. Un número nada reprochable. FacePAD sólo pide un requisito para funcionar y es que tengas activado "permitir cookies de terceros" en la configuración de Firefox, que en las últimas versiones ya viene habilitado. En resumen, Facebook es integrado de una y mil maneras por los navegadores, ya se por su chat, por la privacidad o hasta para exportar contactos, y esta extensión para descargar álbumes de fotos enteros, no será la última.
